There I sat, staring at my phone – the blank white screen screaming out to me to throw some words down. Fingers hovering above the keyboard, itching to move and create. Something. Anything. Nothing. I stare out the window. The sun glares back at me, reflecting back my own reflection.
That’s a bit intrusive. But damn you look good girl! Tired, but good!
Yes we all have those thoughts! This is the part where you feel that slight smile edging on your lips. It’s perfectly ok to have a good laugh. After all, we do know laughter is the best medicine!
So I decided to share a true story I wrote back in the day when social media was actually enjoyable! However, for the sake of political correctness I have modified my content just a little.
November 13, 2013:
There I was, merrily enjoying my mountain bike ride, taking a slight deviation off the road and onto a trail. Feeling the freedom, the breeze, the slight leg burn and immense concentration on the winding trail. I lifted my head and caught some movement up ahead just around the corner. Not thinking twice I continued to push. Grinding to a sudden halt, my face met a sight one would never wish to meet. Yes, I came across a couple doing the deed. On the trail. On a corner. In full view. And my face literally stopping a few centimeters from the ladies bottom!
On one side, a bank steeped down into the dam, thick bush on the other, the trail only an arms width wide. What was I to do? The couple were clearly preoccupied and totally disinterested in the intrusion. He casually disengages, turns, packs it away, apologises and makes way. The lady of course, unable to move due to the restricted clothing acting like a rope at the bottom of her legs, falls over into the bush while trying to cover up. I was at a loss for words. Gob smacked all I could say was “Dude…seriously! Get off my track!”
That was a little too up close and personal for me. But go ahead. Have a laugh! This one is on me!
